Protech Engine Solutions began operations in 2010 when the founder, a retired Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, realized the need in the industry for more user-friendly, cost-effective and safe-to-use engine protective equipment. We design products with the user in mind as well as compliance with the AMM and other company requirements which include safety/reliability. This also allows the ability to open engine cowls for maintenance/inspection without the need for removal of the entire covers when possible.
Along with the considerations taken with the inlet covers, we also factor in the necessities needed when designing the bypass and core plugs such as temperature of engine surfaces as well as compatibilities between critical aircraft surfaces and durability required.
We fabricate patented aircraft engine inlet covers and bypass and exhaust plugs to protect from the infestation of rodents or birds while parked outdoors during short or long term storage. These products also protect against wind-borne dust and debris as well as adverse weather elements such as ice and snow. These weather factors have been known to cause damage in a solid form (ice) if not recognized when starting the engine or melting into a liquid form (water) causing corrosion.
